Pet Microchipping
Keeping track of adventurous pets
A pet microchip is a small, electronic chip that is about the size of a grain of rice. It's implanted under the skin of your beloved pet by a Welland Veterinarian. The minimally-invasive procedure takes a few minutes and is incredibly efficient.
This tracking microchip contains a unique identification number that is registered with a special database. If your pet ever gets lost or wanders away from home, someone who finds them can take them to a veterinarian or animal shelter. These places have special scanners that can read the information on the microchip.
Once the scanner reads the microchip, it reveals your contact information, such as your name and phone number. That way, they can quickly get in touch with you and reunite you with your furry friend. Going above and beyond to keep your pet safe!
