Diagnostics

Slide – BG

Could an illness or injury be plaguing your pet?

When people get sick or hurt, they visit the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, things aren’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t talk, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.

What’s more, many animals are able to hide the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.

Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and address health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Laboratory

The on-site diagnostic laboratory at Main West Animal Hospital makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in just minutes. This means we can establish a treatment plan before you and your pet even leave the exam room.

Imaging

When a physical checkup and lab testing aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging tools, including x-rays and ultrasound. This technology allow us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

Images can be assessed by our team in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet has been acting a bit under the weather lately, don’t take chances. Give us a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health once again.
