Your Pet’s Surgery

We want to work with you to make your pet’s procedure as convenient and stress-free as possible. As such, we offer the choice of either early morning or evening drop-offs. Once in our care, the first step in your pet’s surgery
Our modern surgical suite is fully equipped with two anesthetic machines and a digital anesthetic monitor, which is used to measure your pet’s vital signs such as respiration, heart rate and blood pressure, before, during and after all procedures requiring anesthesia. In addition to the digital monitor, our skilled veterinary technicians regularly check all vitals to make sure your pet remains safe and comfortable throughout the procedure. involves a thorough physical exam and preanestheic blood
work to determine what type of sedation or anesthetic would be best for your animal. Pain management is a very important aspect of your pets care. We use a variety of sedatives, local anesthetics, general anesthetics laser therapy and pain medications to ensure your pet’s comfort.
In addition to appropriate pain management, it’s also important to us that your pet remains as relaxed and at ease as possible while in our care. We offer pillows, blankets and even body warming mats to keep your pet warm and cozy during their surgical procedure and make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Post-Surgical Care
Once your pet’s surgery is finished, he is placed in a warm, safe area where he can be supervised as he recovers. Someone from our office will notify you when your animal is ready to be picked up at which point you will be provided with detailed discharge instructions. We may prescribe and send you home with additional pain medication to help manage your pet’s discomfort. Finally, after you’ve picked up your pet, we will generally follow up with you by phone to check on your pet’s recovery.
